Yes, You Can Program Provides Access to Aultman*
Canton native Ashley Millington grew up going to Aultman for medical care. When her health insurance changed, she thought she would have to switch hospitals – until she learned about the Yes, You Can program.
Yes, You Can provides access to Aultman – even if Aultman is not part of your existing insurance plan – if your commercial health care coverage provides out-of-network benefits. “I never knew about Yes, You Can until I was pregnant with my first child back in 2008,” Millington said. “I heard about the program through a family member.”
Millington was a bit skeptical about Yes, You Can providing the same coverage for Aultman services as going to her in-network provider.* “I went online and filled out a Yes, You Can application. A representative took care of everything,” Millington recalled. “She explained how all my benefits would work and that it wouldn’t be any different than going to an in-network hospital.”
Millington and her husband Michael welcomed son Jackson in 2009 and daughter LoriAnne in 2011. “The thing I enjoyed the most about my stay in the Aultman Birth Center both times was the one-on-one attention I received,” she said. “I had two cesarean sections. The surgical team, doctors and nurses made me feel comfortable from the very beginning to the very end of my stay. I felt reassured, and they provided information so I knew exactly what was going on with my body and my baby.”
In addition to enjoying the spacious birthing suites and high-quality medical care, Millington found Aultman’s lactation resources very helpful. “Breastfeeding has been very important to me for the health of both my children,” she shared. “I couldn’t have been successful if it weren’t for the knowledgeable and helpful nurses who assisted me in that effort.”
Millington and her family will continue to use Aultman services through Yes, You Can. “Now that I’m a part of the Yes, You Can program,” she said, “I will use Aultman for all my family’s medical needs.”
