Aultman Patient Outreach and Financial Assistance
Aultman Hospital provides basic, necessary hospital care without charge to qualifying individuals.
Under the federal poverty guidelines, Ohio residents may qualify for free hospital care (Hospital Care Assurance or HCAP). Review the guidelines for free care:

If you are not an Ohio resident or if you are over the Federal Poverty Guidelines and uninsured, you may qualify for a reduction in hospital care costs under the Financial Assistance Program (FAP).
How to Apply
In order for the application to be processed, you must:
- Complete an entire HCAP Application, including family and income information.
- Sign and date the application.
- Return the completed application to:

HCAP Covered Services
Please note that the HCAP program only covers services billed by Aultman Hospital. The program does not cover elective or cosmetic surgery, organ transplants, patient convenience items, take-home pharmacy charges, transportation fees, physician and anesthesia charges.
