Aultman Birth Center Now Offers Online Childbirth Education

CANTON, Ohio (May 7, 2012) – The Aultman Birth Center is proud to offer a new educational tool for expectant mothers: online childbirth education classes. Funded in part by a grant from Macy’s, the classes allow mothers and their partners to learn at their own pace in the comfort of their own home.
The online program is perfect for mothers-to-be who are on bed rest, or unable to attend traditional childbirth classes due to time constraints or scheduling conflicts. The online childbirth classes are also great “refresher courses” for moms who have given birth before.

The e-learning program includes a full 60 days of access, beginning from the date of initial use, an accompanying Gift of Motherhood handbook for parents, and a labor and delivery tour at the Aultman Birth Center. Topics covered include childbirth education, labor support, discomforts of pregnancy, understanding labor and birth, what to expect when giving birth at Aultman Hospital, caring for yourself postpartum and feeding and caring for your newborn.
