Used Computer Drive May 21

CANTON, Ohio (May 7, 2012) – Aultman Hospital is teaming up with Goodwill’s Computers Again program to host a used computer drive Monday, May 21 from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. The donation truck will be located just outside Aultman’s Morrow House building, located on 6th Street near the Dartmouth St. intersection.

The public is invited to bring their used computers and computer-related equipment. Used stereos, gaming consoles, televisions, DVD players and VCRs will also be accepted.

According to the Goodwill website, Computers Again aims to provide affordable computers to low-income families and individuals as well as non-profit organizations by collecting and refurbishing unwanted computers that would otherwise be destroyed.

All hard drives of donated computers are wiped and if they cannot be wiped, the drive is destroyed. All other donations will be sent to a computer recycler.
