‘Fun 2B Fit’ Program Offers 3 Sessions

CANTON, Ohio (May 18, 2012) – Are you concerned about your adolescent’s health? Maybe he doesn’t eat as well as he should or she doesn’t get as much physical activity as she should. 

Aultman Weight Management has created a family-centered program called Fun 2B Fit that meets weekly for four weeks to help parents and adolescents learn a healthier lifestyle. The goal of Fun 2B Fit is to learn how to make healthy food choices, and to increase fitness level and self-esteem. The program takes place in a fun, interactive, atmosphere with a travel-themed journey toward health and wellness.

“There will be three sessions that each run for four weeks, but essentially, you can start at any point in the program,” said Aultman Weight Management Director Susan Gilbert. “Each week will have new information, so participants can actually take part in all 12 weeks of Fun 2B Fit.”

The program is designed for both adolescents (ages 8-14) and their parents. Classes are held just once a week, for four-week sessions. The first session will begin June 6, second session on July 11 and the final session will begin September 12. The three session cycle will start again in October.

The cost is $50 per child, per four-week session. After completing the first 4 week session, a $10 discount is given when registering for subsequent sessions. Parents must be present at each class.
