Volunteer Positions Available at Aultman Hospice
September 17, 2012
CANTON, Ohio (Sept. 17, 2012) – The Aultman Hospice program is seeking volunteers to provide companionship and support to hospice patients and families. Aultman Hospice is currently seeking those interested in providing caregivers with respite time in the home hospice setting. There is a significant need for male volunteers in this role.
These volunteers will provide physical and emotional support to the hospice patient. The presence of a volunteer provides the caregiver with an opportunity to step away from the home and the full time care of the patient for a little while.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and are required to attend a total of four training sessions. The sessions are free, but registration is required. All training sessions will be held at the Compassionate Care Center, located on the Aultman Woodlawn campus, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton.
Dates and times for the training sessions are as follows:
Monday, October 22, 2012 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Monday, October 29, 2012 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
