Senior Day at the Pro Football Hall of Fame to Offer Free Health Screenings

CANTON, Ohio (Sept. 27, 2012) – Aultman Health Foundation and the Pro Football Hall of Fame are teaming up again this year for the 12th Annual Senior Day, taking place on Wednesday, October 3 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Along with free admission to the hall, free health screenings will be offered for adults over age 55.
Free tests will include cholesterol screenings*, triglycerides screenings*, blood sugar screenings*, cardiac risk assessments, depression screenings, blood pressure screenings, body mass index analysis and much more.
Screenings will be offered with no reservations, although a 12-16 hour fast is recommended for the tests noted with an asterisk.
In addition to the screenings, Aultman Health Foundation will present a health fair with more than 25 informational booths on senior care. A variety of hospital departments will be represented, including the Heart Center, Cancer Center, Therapy Services and Grief Services. In addition, representatives from PrimeTime Seniors and PrimeTime Health Plan will be available, along with a Medicare educator.
Hall of Fame docents will offer special presentations throughout the day, sharing historic facts about memorabilia not currently on display in the Hall of Fame’s collection.
All seniors, 55 and older, will receive a complimentary souvenir, a 10 percent discount in the Hall of Fame store, cake from Johnnie’s Bakery, and coffee and tea provided by Emil’s Catering.
