Help Your Football Team Win Annual Blood Battle

CANTON, Ohio (Oct. 2, 2012) —   Do something good for the community and help your hometown team win a battle against its high school rival at the Dover/New Philadelphia Blood Battle. All donors are welcome to join a team.
The annual BloodBattle will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, just a few days before the big Dover High School versus New Philadelphia High School football game on Oct. 26. The school/community donating the most blood will be announced during half time.

All donors can meet the Aultman Blood Center and WJER radio personalities at the Tuscarawas County YMCA, on Oct. 24 between noon and 7 p.m.
All donors will receive gifts, including Domino’s pizza and the appropriate “Beat Dover” or “Beat Phila” T-shirt which they can wear to the game.

You can also donate anytime the week of Oct. 22-26 at the Union Hospital donor room. All donations made will be counted toward this competition. The donor room is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donors must be between 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and feel healthy and well.
