The National Research Corporation (NRC) named Aultman as Stark County's "most preferred hospital for overall quality and image" for the 14th consecutive year. Press Ganey
The Aultman Emergency and Trauma Center was ranked in the 99th percentile for overall patient satisfaction and “likelihood to recommend” as a result of Press Ganey surveys during the first and second quarters of 2009. The ranking is based on a comparison of 7,000 health care organizations using Press Ganey’s services to measure and improve quality of patient care. (2009)
Commission on Cancer
The Aultman Cancer Center received "Three-Year Approval with Commendation" from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) for providing a full-scope cancer program. The program includes cancer committee leadership, cancer data membership, clinical services, research, community outreach and quality improvement. (2009)
American Heart Association/American Stroke Association
Aultman Cerebrovascular Program received a "Get With The Guidelines" performance achievement award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, a program that helps ensure continuous quality improvement of acute stroke treatment and ischemic stroke prevention in accordance with the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations. Additionally, Aultman Heart Center received two American Heart Association "Get With The Guidelines" Performance Achievement Awards for Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure. Aultman is the first hospital in Stark County and the eighth in Ohio to receive all three "Get With The Guidelines" modules. (2006: initial awards; 2007: annual awards; 2008 and 2009: gold awards)
Beacon Awards from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
The Aultman Intensive Care Units – Medical, Surgical, Cardiac Care and Cardiovascular Surgery – have earned Beacon Awards from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). In determining Beacon Award recipients, AACN reviews education; training and mentoring; patient outcomes; and leadership and organizational ethics for each unit. The Aultman CVSICU is one of six units to have earned Beacon honors three times, while the Medical and Surgical ICUs are two-time recipients (2009, 2010).
Ohio Nurses Foundation
Aultman Hospital earned the Ohio Nurses Foundation's "Nurses' Choice Awards" Organizational Award for its support of nurses and direct patient care. (2007)
