Social Services
Aultman's social workers can help patients plan for their discharge from the hospital. Whether the need is for in-home, follow-up care or a transfer to a nursing home or other health-care facility, social workers consult with patients, their families and physicians to make arrangements for the best possible post-hospital patient care.

Services for the Hearing Impaired
Aultman offers a variety of services for patients who are hearing impaired. Our Telecommunication Department can provide teletypewriter (TTY) machines that allow patients to communicate with friends and family members outside the hospital who also have TTY. The hospital also has an incoming TTY phone line at 330-363-7478. For patients who are hard of hearing, amplified headsets are available for their room phones to increase the volume of a caller's voice. Aultman also can provide interpreters for the deaf when requested. These services are available by notifying any member of the nursing staff.
