The Aultman Foundation Distributes Over $100,000 in Grants to 19 Nonprofits

CANTON, Ohio (Nov. 2, 2011) – The Aultman Foundation has announced 19 area nonprofit organizations will receive the organization’s ninth round of grant funding totaling $101,500. The grants are structured to help further The Aultman Foundation’s mission by funding local agencies’ projects and services in Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll and Tuscarawas counties.
The following organizations – whose services focus on health & wellness, education and human services for the underserved – are receiving grants for the specified amount:
• ALS Care Project: $1,300 for the health and wellness outreach program for ALS
• Arc of Stark County, Inc.: $2,000 for the 2012 Autism Forum Family Scholarship
• Family Economic Success Program, Inc. (FES): $6,400 for the Family Economic Success VITA program
• Massillon Museum and Ananda Center: $4,500 for the Artful Living program
• Mayor’s Literacy Commission: $3,500 for family book celebrations
• Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Co.: $6,000 for data conversion for agency management software
• North Canton Playhouse Spotlight on Youth: $4,000 for Saving Lives through the Arts bullying presentations
• Pegasus Farm: $8,800 for veteran’s salute
• Prescription Assistance Network of Stark County: $7,000 for the Healing Power of Access for Diabetics
• Reentry Bridge Network, Inc.: $2,500 for Thrive! program for children of incarcerated parents
• Society for Equal Access Independent Living Center, Inc., New Philadelphia: $7,000 for transportation services to medical appointments in Tuscarawas County
• Stark County Hunger Task Force: $7,000 for county-wide pantry services
• Stark County Young Life: $5,000 for Young Life growth in urban schools
• Starlight Workshop, Inc. (Starlight Enterprises), New Philadelphia: $2,500 for exercise equipment for individuals with developmental disorders
• Trillium Family Solutions: $2,500 for evidenced-based treatment library
• Viola Startzman Free Clinic, Wooster: $7,000 for chronic condition improvement program
• Western Stark Free Clinic: $8,000 for free clinic to serve the low-income and uninsured
• Windows of Hope (Genetics Information Center), Walnut Creek: $6,500 for coping with the burden of inherited disease among the Amish
• YMCA of Central Stark County for the benefit of Carroll County YMCA: $10,000 for diabetes self-management education program for Carroll County
