First Aultman Women’s Board Fashion Show a Success

CANTON, Ohio (Nov.17, 2011) – The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital, led by chairwoman Aristea Tzouloufis, hosted its first ever fashion show, Fashionistas in Florence with much success. Last Thursday, Nov. 10, a sold-out crowd of 150 gathered at the new Gervasi Event Center. Guests started the night of fashion and fun with a photo on the red carpet runway, then enjoyed Italian desserts and sparkling wine along with an impressive presentation. The New York style fashion show was created by Kent State University faculty and students and featured local retailers, designers and models.
Fashions from Anthropologie, Laura of Pembroke and Lingenfelter-Brill were featured, along with original designs from Vince Quevedo, Linda Ohrn-McDaniel and Trista Grieder, all professors at Kent State University. Fashions by Colette Wasdahl, Estee Lauder and Shop Your Closet offered additional special features. Models included Vicki Haines, Jen Mucci, Terri Roth, Cassandra Thomas and Kathy Wyatt, in addition to a number of students from Kent State University.
Following the fashion show, guests were able to shop the designs featured in the show and enjoyed tours of the brand-new Gervasi villas. In addition, a designer Prada handbag and perfume, valued at $1000, were raffled off. All proceeds from the evening went to the Aultman Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Women’s Board Committee Members for the event included Chair Aristea Tzouloufis, President of the Women’s Board Lisa Warburton-Gregory, Vice President of the Women’s Board Denise Hill, Annette Cross, Leda Kendig, Debra Neff-Maurer and Lindsay Zimmerman.
History of The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital
The Women’s Board was founded in 1969 to render services to Aultman Hospital in the areas of community relations and fundraising. Since their inception, the Women’s Board has raised more than $20 million to support major projects at Aultman Hospital such as the Emergency/Trauma Center, NICU, Dialysis Center, Cancer Center, Pediatric Services, Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences and most recently, the Compassionate Care Center.
