CANTON, Ohio (April 25, 2012) – Aultman Hospital is offering an opportunity for high school students to volunteer over the summer months during their school break. Weekday and weekend volunteer opportunities are also available. Students are asked to commit to a minimum of four hours per week to the program. The program will run 10 weeks, and students are assigned to open volunteer positions throughout the hospital. Students will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to submit applications for the Summer VolunTeen program is Friday, May 11.
Other important dates for the program include mandatory orientation, which will take place both Thursday, May 31 and Tuesday, June 5 from 2 to 3 p.m. Students are required to attend at least one session. The program will begin on Monday, June 11 and end on Friday, Aug. 10. In addition, there will be a VolunTeen Appreciation Party for all VolunTeens on Thursday, Aug. 16.
