Kathleen Schen recently joined Aultman Pastoral Care as a full-time chaplain, after providing partial coverage in the family waiting area since 2006. She has served as a volunteer chaplain at Aultman for more than 15 years and understands first-hand the journey of enduring a life-threatening illness.
Kathleen not only ministers at the hospital but is also the chaplain for Aultman Hospice and Aultman’s Compassionate Care Center. Visits are made to patients and their families in nursing homes, individual homes and the Compassionate Care Center.
Kathleen completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education ( CPE ) from Akron General Medical Center and was most recently employed as a hospice chaplain at Visiting Nurse Service and Affiliates in Akron.
Kathleen has two sons, Joshua and Jordan, and one grandson named Nathan.
