Volunteer Opportunities

Have you ever considered volunteering your time to help others? Volunteers are an essential part of Aultman's team! They make a difference in the lives of others, while making friends and learning new skills.

Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and have successfully completed the ninth grade. Aultman requires a commitment minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service.

Aultman volunteers enjoy the benefits of free parking in the covered deck, free cafeteria meals after working four hours and access to the Aultman Fitness Center and recognition events. You can choose to volunteer in a specific area such as the Gift Shop, family waiting area or the Aultman Blood Center bloodmobile - or you can "float" to different departments around the hospital. Volunteer opportunities are also available at Aultman North, West, Woodlawn, Carrollton and the Center for Pain Management.

For more information, call 330-363-6368. Download an application here: Adult Application or Teen Application. Three to four days after submitting an application, call to schedule an interview Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. All applicatants then must complete required health and safety tests and receive a background screening.

Happy Tails

Aultman offers the Happy Tails program that enables speciallly trained dogs and their handlers to bring joy to hospitalized patients.

The Women's Board of Aultman Hospital

In addition to our hundreds of dedicated hospital volunteers, The Women's Board of Aultman Hospital supports Aultman Health Foundation in the areas of community relations and fundraising. Since its inception in 1969, the Women's Board has raised more than $17 million to support major projects including the Aultman Cancer Center, Pediatric Services and the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

The major fundraising event each year is the Angel Auction, a black-tie event featuring more than 400 silent and live auction items. In addition to the Angel Auction, the Women's Board does fundraising through the Aultman Hospital Gift Shop, Flower Shop, newborn baby photos and Tribute Fund.
