Aultman Woodlawn provides short-term care in our rehabilitation or skilled nursing units for patients as they transition through recovery to their optimal level of function. For patients staying on our campus, the homelike atmosphere and wooded setting allows them to focus on their recovery process without the feeling of being in a hospital.
Our facility includes: 
- 60 private skilled nursing rooms and 30 private inpatient rehabilitation rooms - each equipped with a television, wardrobe closet, large bathroom/shower and individual temperature control
- Three on-site nursing units with skilled nursing staff available to meet your needs
- Medical care provided under the direction of board-certified family physicians, neurologists and physical medicine specialists. A physician or a physician assistant will visit each patient daily in the Rehabilitation Center and as required, based on the individual patient's need on the Skilled Unit.
Aultman Woodlawn provides unique therapy environments - Aultman Avenue and an outdoor courtyard - to help reintroduce patients to homelike and community settings while preparing them for a realistic level of independence. Learn more about the therapy services we offer.
Patients are offered many other opportunities to practice cognitive and social skills including multiple levels of problem solving, memory and concentration, meal planning, money management and sequencing of events. We also encourage patients to eat in the dining room as part of a socialization and visiting therapy plan.
Our goal is to work as a team to care for and rehabilitate each patient through education and training to increase function. Each patient is cared for by a team of health-care workers including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians, nurses, social workers and dieticians. The patient's team shares specific goals for the patient, continually working toward the same outcome. Family meetings are also held to advance family involvement in the care and goals of the patient.
