Each year, a dozen for the world's most renowned cancer specialists gather in Canton to share their latest research at the Aultman Cancer Center's Annual Cancer Conference.
More than 200 Northeast Ohio physicians and other health care professionals attend the conference each year. The goal of the conference is for attendees to learn how to incorporate the latest oncology research and treatment developments into their everyday clinical practices.
A highlight of the conference is the presentation of the Annual Aultman Cancer Center Research Award. Past award recipients include: Dr. Judah Folkman of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Harmon Eyre of the American Cancer Society, Dr. Dennis Slamon of UCLA, Dr. Henry Lynch of Creighton University, Dr. C. Kent Osborne of Baylor University; Dr. Lawrence Einhorn of Indiana University; Dr. Bernard Fisher of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP); and Dr. Jeffrey Weitzel of the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, Calif.
