The multidisciplinary tumor board is a patient-oriented, weekly conference where several patients are discussed with their radiological studies and pathology slides.
The Aultman Cancer Center also hosts four site-specific conferences: a weekly breast pathology conference, a bimonthly thoracic conference and monthly genitourinary and gynecologic conferences. Conferences focus on pretreatment evaluation, consultations, staging, treatment strategy and overall patient management. Treatment options are discussed in detail, and clinical trials that are available to conference patients are also discussed.
