Aultman Hospital cares for more than 500 stroke patients each year. We are a Primary Stroke Center, certified by The Joint Commission.
Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. We were first hospital in Stark County to earn certification – and the 13th in the state of Ohio.
Achievement of the Joint Commission certification signifies that Aultman Hospital provides the critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving stroke outcomes. It is the best signal to our community that the care we provide is effectively managed to meet the unique and specialized needs of stroke patients.
